Step 3.
Download and Register
hotComm Lite. Print this page to use during the hotComm Lite setup.

1. Click
on the link below "Download hotComm Lite". When the File Download window
appears, choose OPEN.
You will be prompted to complete the
hotComm Lite registration
form. Please note: The email address you submit is where the
activation key will be sent.
After
exhaustive research of various chat platforms, FuturesTalk has chosen
hotComm Lite
because of
their superior VOIP (voice over
internet protocol) audio and
active chart representation capabilities. Click the button to your right to
download a two week trial of hotComm.
If you already have a copy of
hotComm on your PC or have already installed a
trial copy of any hotComm
product PLEASE CONTACT FuturesTalk for
directions on how to re-activate your hotComm Lite license.
DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DOWNLOAD ANOTHER COPY.

2.
During the installation process of
hotComm Lite, you will be prompted to add the Nickname you chose in Step
1. Be certain to use that same name prefixed by the word: Try.
For example: You want to use this nickname: Jolly. Prefix
Jolly like this: Try_Jolly. When your trial is over and you decide
to subscribe, you can remove
the "Try." We ask for you to add the "Try" for your
benefit. Existing subscribers as well as moderators want to know who is
trying our room. This addition to your handle just helps us know who we
need to help as you get familiar with the us. We are a very small
cohesive little group of traders who actually believe in the adage:
"DayTradersUSA is
where the less experienced get better experience!"

A window will appear asking for an Activation key. You will be sent an activation
key via
email within 2-3 minutes
of completing the registration form. After
it arrives, copy the
entire 44-character activation code into the window
and press Finish. Note:
some firewalls or virus scanning software programs may
block the email. If you do not receive an email in 5
minutes, please contact support@1stWorks.com
4. hotComm
Lite will now finish
installing and attempt to connect to the 1stWorks network. Look in the lower right
corner of your Windows system tray (near
the clock). You should see
an icon that
looks like a headset appear. It
will initially be gray; however, after a minute, it will turn red and blue indicating hotComm
Lite has successfully connected to the 1stWorks network. You
should now connect
to the Audio Test room to adjust you PC's speakers. Verify
that the word relay:test is
in the target IM-Live window and then
enter the password = 123. Also,
uncheck the "Popup Connect dialog on Startup" box. Click
"Connect" and listen for the pre-recorded audio.
5. The
installation process for hotComm Lite will
automatically place
a shortcut
icon add two folders to
your desktop . The
hotComm Lite shortcut can be used to re-launch hotComm
Lite the next time you enter the FuturesTalk.net
room.

Connect to the
FuturesTalk Live Trading Room

If hotComm Lite is not running, start it by clicking the hotComm Lite shortcut
on your desktop. Wait until you connect to the 1stWorks Network (the
earphones on the headset icon red and blue, and you see "online" on
the bottom line of the hotComm Lite window. You may enter FuturesTalk.net Live
Trading Room from one of two locations:
a. From DayTradersUSA at:
http://www.worldwidetraders.com/ft/room.html click the sign in button.
b. From FuturesTalk at:
http://www.futurestalk.net/access.htm click the sign in button.
Enter
the User name and Password provided to you
by eMail.
7.
A second page will be presented with a sign in button. Click sign in. If
an Error page appears - read the instructions on what might be wrong.
8. Be sure
to visit various FuturesTalk tabs containing important information regarding
futures trading tools. Also review the bios and trading styles our
outstanding moderators.

Having trouble getting
into the room?
|
The most common problem
accessing the room appears to be:
1. Trying to log on to hotComm Lite when you are already logged on. When
you are already logged into hotComm Lite, ONLY log into FuturesTalk. Logging
into hotComm Lite repeatedly causes an error..
2. To verify whether or not you are logged into hotComm Lite, look in your
lower right system tray at the bottom of your screen to the far right of
START,,, over by the clock. Look for the little red and blue ear muffs.
If you see them in color, your in hotComm Lite. hotComm Lite takes a couple
moments to boot. Just for your own amusement, after you click the hotComm
Lite link above in Step 1. watch the system tray. You will first see gray
ear muffs and then they will change color. |
8. Some security
software inhibits easy hotComm Lite web launch. hotComm Lite is operated by 1st
Works Corporation and can help you to adjust your security software to
facilitate secure access to FuturesTalk. resolve your security issues.
If, after downloading the hotComm Lite software and trying the trouble shooting
guidelines above, access problems still plague you, try these 3 choices
in the order listed:
A. Visit
www.hotcomm.com/support.asp
This Support Website has self-help guidance
and a direct link to
online live help
in the hotComm Support room.
B. If it is after hours and there is no one available in the Support
Room, write an eMail to hotComm Technical Support at: support@1stWorks.com.
