His father
being an automobile dealer, Jakob grew up in Switzerland
learning to fix any part of any car. In his free
time he worked out as a body builder and visited the
United States at age 21 to meet body builders in 1978. He
loved California so much, he became a naturalized citizen
in 1995. Initially he repaired automobiles and served as
a health club instructor until he established one of the largest
independent Ferrari
dealerships in Southern California, which he sold 11 years
later and returned to Switzerland for 3 years before he
returned to invest in a Los Angeles restaurant which he
sold 3 years after.
Studying
under trading mentors like Bernie Mitchell, Bob Watson Richard
McCall and Tony Robins, Jakob started trading in 1999 and is
currently perfecting the evolutionary trading method he
calls The Ricochet Trade based on time and distance,
because the futures have a strong tendency to ricochet off
their first hour high / prior day high and/or their first
hour low / prior day low.
Richard V
Rueb calls Jakob's method, The Crumb Catcher, because he
only expects to get at least two points initially per
trade; however, don't mistake Richard's nomenclature as a
demeaning chide because practiced consistently, The Crumb
Catcher will build your little account into a respectable
earning vehicle... You see, Jakob can't get away from car
jargon... even if he wanted to. Jakob is probably as
good at crumb catching using The Ricochet Trade as he is
at tuning a 1973 Ferrari carburetor.
